Nick Featured.....

Well as some of you may or may not know Nick started a new job a few weeks ago! He is now the General Manager at Meritage Restaurant at The Claremont Hotel in Berkeley! He is really loving his new job and all of those he works with! It has been a great move for Nick! :) While surfing the internet I found this post on the Executive Chef's Blog. It talks about a new program Chef Josh and Nick are doing! I have never seen Nick so excited about his job! It is really great to see his passion for this industry! Nick is so talented and so good at what he does! I love to see him in action!!!

Flirt with An Adventure!

Ok...so since I am not feeling so great today I have been playing around on the Internet and came across an email from Kate Spade......
I clicked on it just for fun and I was blown away with their new spring line! This is the outfit I am dreaming of once the baby is born and I get in shape! I just love this handbag!!! If you want to get it for me I won't complain! :) :) I love this car coat and the Kellie Blue Shoes are to die for granted they are a little to high for me but I still love them!!!
Anyway...I encourage you to check out Kate Spade's spring line it is fabulous!!! :)

38 Weeks and 1 Day

Well yesterday I went to the doctor and they did another ultrasound. Baby is doing good! He or she was sucking his or her thumb again! So cute!! :) :) The doctor told me that if I don't go into labor this coming week they are going to induce me on February 1st. I was excited to know that it is coming up soon! :) :) I hope I go into labor naturally but if I don't....I will be ready for the induction! Today I had another NST test..I have them twice a week! All went well with that too! Babies heartbeat was good and strong! :) :) The best news even though it isn't anything major is that I was having a few light contractions! I didn't really feel them but they were showing up on the monitor so maybe that means something is happening! :) :)
I have been feeling great really up until today! Today has just been one of those days where I have no energy, I feel blah and just ick! I can't explain it! I don't want to do anything but feel guilty for not doing anything! I miss my energy today! :)

I do have to say that I am getting so excited to see cutie! :) I just want to see his or her precious little face and hold him or her!!! I am even more excited to find out what cutie is! I am really feeling that cutie is a BOY! I don't know why and it has really only been in the last week or so where I have felt this way! So we shall see! :) Either way I just want a healthy baby! :) :) Don't we all!!!

Well that is the update of the week! I don't have anyone to take a photo as Nick went back to work about a week or so ago...so maybe tomorrow morning he can take a photo and I can post it! My stomach is huge...however yesterday when I went to the doctor I lost 5lbs.....yes you heard me right...I lost 5lbs!! So nuts! I have only gained 3lbs now! Unbelievable! The doctor said everything is fine though and I might even lose more weight!! WHOOO HOOO! :) I am loving this! :)

37 Weeks....FULL TERM~

Well I am "Officially" Full Term! I can't believe it? Where does the time go? This is really gone by pretty fast!!! I can only imagine how fast it will go growing up? SLOOOOWWWW DOOOWWWNNNNN!!! :)
Anyway...I am 37 weeks and Cutie is allowed to make his or her arrival any time! Last weekend my friend Kristen through me a baby shower here in Sonoma! It was so much fun! It was great to see my old work friends from the Fairmont and my wedding professional friends! It was so nice and a great afternoon! My mom came down for the shower which was really nice and she got to meet a lot of my friends for the first time as well as the fabulous wedding professionals I work with almost every weekend during wedding season! Emily also came which was fun too!!! I know I have said it before but I can't tell you how great it has been having Em so close! It has been so fun!!!!!
The picture above is at my shower! That is my baby shower cake!!! My friend and oh so talented Wedding Cake Designer Kelly Zubal of Inticing Creations recreated the Petunia Pickle Bottom Diaper Bag I registered for!!! Can you even believe it? You can't see the detail in the photo but down the side of the bag it really looked like a zipper and she had the backpack straps in the back! She is so AMAZING!!!!! I loved my cake so much!
The same day as my shower Nick and I did a tour of Queen of the Valley Hospital in Napa where Cutie will be born....it was beginning to feel more and more realy! The hospital is beautiful and the rooms are amazing! I will have my own room which is nice and it is more like a suite at a hotel then a hospital room! I feel so blessed to have such a nice new maternity hospital to have cutie in!!!
Also this week I started going to the doctor twice a week for NST I have to have a Non-Stress Test twice a week to make sure that cutie is doing ok. So far so good! Everything is normal except for the fact that yesterday for 30minutes cutie was sleeping and so they had to put this buzzer up against my stomach and I thought I was going to jump off the bed cutie kicked so hard...needless to say it woke him or her right up and cutie was moving all over the place again! Good strong heart beat and the head is still down! DON'T MOVE CUTIE!!!!!

Almost There~36 weeks

Ok so I know I have been so bad at blogging! I really wish I could get back into it but it is really a struggle and we have LOST our camera! I know catastrophe right before the baby is due! AYE AYE AYE...goal for the weekend is to find the camera!

Things are going really well! I feel fantastic and so far sleeping isn't that bad! I really sleep through the night except to get up to go to the bathroom. I had a non stress test today and everything with the baby was perfect so that is great! We also had an ultra sound this week and cutie was just perfect and sucking his or her thumb! It was soooo cute!! :) :)

I have to have ultra sounds and NST weekly as I have gestational diabetes so they want to monitor the babies growth and so far everything is perfect and they said the baby should be normal size and ok as long as I keep my blood sugars under control. I have been really lucky as well as I have only gained 8lbs! Yes only 8lbs!!! I know it is crazy! Every time I go to the doctor they say well your weight is the same! I get so excited!!! I love going to the doctor because never in my entire life have I been complimented on my weight so much!! I just have to focus after the baby is born on losing all the excess weight I had when I got pregnant so I am not off the hook ...I have about 40-50lbs to lose to get to my ideal weight even though I have only gained 8lbs....thank god it wasn't more or that would be a TON of weight to lose! AYE AYE AYE....

So what else can I tell you.....the furniture for the baby is still not here! They say 6-10 weeks and since Nick and I kinda forgot to order the furniture we are only 4 weeks into the delivery so the baby may arrive before the furniture but what the heck....cutie will be in our room for awhile anyway!! :)

It really amazes me how laid back I am about this whole process! So much of my life is planned and controlled by me and my Type A personality but I have really just sat back and enjoyed the ride of pregnancy and not worried about anything! It has sort of taught me a lot about myself and how to just relax...I know me relax...it really has just been so enjoyable!!

Right now Nick and I feel like little kids waiting for Santa to come! Since we don't know the sex of the baby it is so much more a mystery and so exciting to think about what he or she looks like and what will it be? I am getting antsy in the fact that I just want to see cutie and I want to know if it is a boy or girl....I am not antsy because I am miserable which is kinda nice! :)

Well...that is all for now! I will take a photo and post it soon! I am so bad at that! :) Whoops!
